The multi award winning, far touring chanteuse Elles Bailey drops the 19 track deluxe edition of her chart topping Shining in the Half light on March 17th featuring 2 new originals, 2 covers and 5 live tracks.

Crammed with vibrant tracks brought to life with her A-list touring band, it's yet another significant step forward in a career already feted with awards and acclaim. The new originals and the covers were tracked back in December 2022 at Middle Farm Studios, exactly two years to date since the original recording. They were recorded and mixed live to tape with no computers at all -as Elles describes it ‘a complete first for me and a beautiful learning curve’.  

The live tracks were record at The Pool in January 2022 and features the stella cast from the original Shining record, altogether,  live in one room for the first time. Feature's Joe Wilkins on Guitar, Jonny Henderson on Ivories, Matthew Waer on Bass duties,  Matthew Jones on drums and gospel inspired vocals from Izo FitzRoy, Jade Elliot and Andrusilla Mosley

An exciting team of co-writers feature with three credits for Ashton Tucker & Will Edmunds, who both wrote with Elles for 'Road I Call Home', plus she teamed up with longtime guitarist Joe Wilkins to write the slow-flowing, philosophical 'Riding Out The Storm'. Other kindred spirits include guitar maestro Martin Harley, for the gentle and romantic 'Different Kind Of Love' and Matt Owens, co-founder of the hugely successful indie-folk outfit Noah and the Whale, on Sunshine City and the new addition Hole in my Pocket. Craig Lackey helped pen the title track Shining in the Half Light, Brett Boyett on the brooding Who's That, Tamara Stewart joined Elles and Will Edmunds on the rocker Stones, and Ed Blunt on the beautiful brand new Spinning Stopped.
